What does disability representation look like when it’s truthful, nuanced, and creatively driven? This panel spotlights filmmakers and organizations reframing how disability is portrayed on screen – from the mission-focused work of ReelAbilities and Just Like You Films to the bold artistic vision from the film ‘Take Me Home’ whose Impact Lounge debut short now returns to Sundance as a feature.

We’ll explore lived experience, craft, and the short-to-feature pipeline that elevates underrepresented voices, celebrating the stories and storytellers breaking through old narratives and reshaping the future of disability in film.

Moderator: Jon Fitzgerald, Producer, Author, Co-Founder of Slamdance

    Speakers:

    • Jen Greenstreet, Filmmaker & Founder, Just Like You Films
    • Isaac Zablocki, Co-Founder & CEO, ReelAbilities
    • Terra Mackintosh, Co-Founder, THE ARTIST’S SPACE, Acting Coach for Take Me Home
