LOAM: Building Climate Resilience through Travel and Impact Storytelling
12:15 PM
Many of the world’s most visited places are also among the most vulnerable, facing mounting pressure from overtourism, climate change, and chronic underinvestment. At the same time, the nonprofits closest to this work are often best positioned to protect and restore these places. But they are often under-resourced and disconnected from funders who want to help. LOAM was created to connect philanthropic-minded travelers to the people doing the work to steward these beautiful destinations. Through Immersions, travelers can participate in conservation and connect meaningfully with the local community. LOAM Impact exists to bridge the gap between impact capital and conservation work happening at the local level. Join us in learning how impact storytelling leads the way in transforming travel into a force for good!
