Protecting Artists’ Livelihoods: Creating Pathways to Opportunity

June 10th

1:00 PM

RSVP

Led by Doris Duke Foundation’s Creative Labor Creative Conditions initiative, this conversation explores how artists and creative workers are navigating an increasingly gig-based economy. While these challenges are often discussed through the lens of performers and musicians, they extend across the broader creative ecosystem, impacting everyone from actors and filmmakers to editors, costumers, and crew members working project to project.

Bringing together leaders from the performing arts, workforce development, and entertainment industries, the discussion will examine the policies, programs, and pathways helping creative workers, especially from underrepresented communities, build sustainable careers. From mentorship and training to workforce investment, panelists will explore how we can create a more equitable future where artists across disciplines can build sustainable careers and continue enriching our culture.
